Jan. 31, 2018 Super Blue Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse
I got up at 4am, I had 2 cameras, one with a 200MM lens and one with a wide 16mm. Both on tripods taking photos in the dark. Something thats stands still for a very long time can be challenging!
Seaside is a special place, I grew up surfing this wave . I would ride my skateboard here after school in like 7th grade with my buddies and we'd be so tired that we would hitch hike back home. One time Rob Machado gave us a ride home. That was cool!

Such a great surprise this day at Big Beach in Maui. I was hoping that I would get an encounter with a turtle on this trip and sure enough, this turtle was cruising by me when I was getting photos of the shore break. I was so excited! Turtle are just so majestic!
So many amazing sunsets in Oceanside. The gradients from the bright orange sun meeting with the dark blue sky makes such a great back drop for these palm trees. This photo was taken right after I got some photos of the pier, I looked up and saw the colors and I knew I had to get the photo.
Under the pier right after the sun had set. I did some long shutter speed photos and they are always so fun to do because the photograph looks more like a painting. The dark pier with that sky as a backdrop and the movement of the water below the pier. It kinda all comes together. The concept of how you shoot this photo is easy but it does take several attempts to finally get one that will do.
